EcoGen Cluster

EcoGen is a collaborative research cluster led by HoloRuminant in partnership with Re-Livestock, 3D’Omics, RUMIGEN, and GEroNIMO. Together, these five projects are redefining sustainable livestock production by exploring innovative breeding strategies, microbiome research, and advanced technologies.

By integrating diverse approaches, EcoGen aims to reduce the environmental footprint of livestock while improving efficiency, animal health, and resilience to climate change. Key focus areas include:

Developing Sustainable Practices – Creating eco-friendly methods for animal production.

Genetic Research – Identifying genetic markers to enhance livestock health and productivity.

Utilizing Advanced Technologies – Implementing cutting-edge solutions for better livestock management.

Investigating Microbiomes – Studying microbiomes to improve animal health and desirable traits.

Holistic Approaches – Integrating multiple scientific disciplines for comprehensive solutions.

System Re-engineering – Designing resilient and sustainable livestock systems
